How often have you thought of helping the people of Africa? How often have you thought about helping those in need in your own community? Where are the organizations that will create opportunities for children and communities to overcome food and power shortages, poverty, the fallout from AIDS, a minimal or broken education system?
ECHOES Around the World is just such an organization. A 501(c)(3) public charity, ECHOES debuted in May 2006 with the mission to support the education of children and communities for health, opportunities, enlightenment and survival. We started by teaming with two Ugandans of incredible vision and dedication. Sarah and Romans Serunjogi had created a primary school in Uganda and had the vision to initiate other projects. Trinity Children's Centre was started in 1986 with just six students. In 2000 they added Centenary High School, then in 2005 the Double Cure Medical Centre was developed. Their efforts have been nothing short of remarkable!
Their struggles but dedication to make it work despite the worsening health problems in Africa inspired us to help. Since 2006 through understanding and generosity, donors have empowered ECHOES to move forward and offer help in Uganda. Recently, ECHOES joined hands with the St. James School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to assist in their development.
For your gifts small and large we, the boards and our partners, are truely thankful. Will you help support this organization that is committed to one child, one community, one donation at a time?

May I Donate In-Kind Goods or Services?
For donations to our Ugandan programs, we prefer that donations be made in USD (US Dollars) which we can convert to Ugandan Shillings and thereby purchase goods locally. The uniformity of the supplies, warranties and technical support are more easily monitored on local purchases.
If you prefer to make an in-kind donation, check the ECHOES Wish List periodically. From time to time, requests will arrive for specific items not generally available in Uganda. Please do not send any unsolicited goods. They will be returned.
Does my donation go to specific categories?
Monies donated to ECHOES are pooled and used in a variety of ways to sustain the programs we support. Over 90% of your donation is used to help feed, clothe, shelter and educate our student populations, to pay teacher salaries and to assist with school classroom needs, to assist with the salaries of the medical staff and the ongoing operational expenses of the medical centre. In all cases, your donation helps the children of Trinity, Centenary and the St. James School achieve their dreams of an education, and helps support the Double Cure Medical Centre and the communities it serves.
May I designate a donation to a specific category or project?
Special project donations are at the discretion of both the Board of Directors and members of the Advisory Board. Please contact us directly by fax or email if you wish to fund a special project.
Is it safe to use my credit card online?
Yes. PayPal uses a secure encryption that permits you to use your credit card and make donations safely.
